Can I Use the NI Digital Waveform Editor with M-Series DAQ Cards?

Problem:
I have used the NI Digital Waveform Editor with older National Instruments data acquisition cards to display and edit digital waveforms. Can I still use NI-DWE with the new M-Series cards?

Solution:
Yes, you can use the NI Digital Waveform Editor with M-Series cards. The Digital Waveform Editor stores and opens digital data in the form of NI-HWS (Hierarchical Waveform Storage) files, ASCII files, or VCD files (core dumps from a VHDL or Verilog simulation).
