DAQmx Task Gives Error -200077 When Creating a Custom Scale Primary Software: Utility Software>>Measurement & Automation ExplorerPrimary Software Version: 4.3 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A Hardware: Multifunction DAQ (MIO)>>Portable>>USB-6259
Problem: I am trying to create a custom scale for the signals acquired from my USB 6259. I have created an analog input task in Measurement and Automation Explorer, and I have selected custom scale. I am using a map range scale to scale values proportionally from a range of pre-scaled values to a range of scaled values. My pre-scaled values are +/- 5V and my scaled values go from 0 to 200 volts. I have my signal input range set to +/- 5V. However, I am getting error -200077 when I try to save the Task. How can I fix this? Solution: The reason that this error occurs is because the scaled values do not match the signal input values (see Figure 1). Figure 1: Incorrect Signal Input Range Setting The signal input values of the device are represented with the units as the scaled values. If the scaled values are 0 and 200V, then the signal input range must also be 0 to 200V and not +/-5V. In other words, when you create a custom scale, the scaled values must match the signal input value (see Figure 2). Figure 2: Correct Signal Input Range Setting Related Links: Attachments:
