Problem: For my 6602, when I use Traditional NI-DAQ test panels in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX), I only see the option to test the first 8 digital lines and the first 2 counters. How can I access all 32 digital lines and all 8 counter lines? Solution: This is a known limitation of Traditional NI-DAQ. The Traditional NI-DAQ test panels in MAX only support the first two counters and the first eight digital lines. For new applications, it is strongly recommended that the DAQmx API is used instead of Traditional NI-DAQ. In DAQmx, all counters and digital lines can be accessed with no problems using both the DAQmx Test Panels in MAX or any other development environment, such as LabVIEW or LabWindows/CVI. Note that although these channels do not appear in the Traditional NI-DAQ test panels in MAX, this does not affect programming these channels in LabVIEW or any other development environment. Using the Traditional NI-DAQ API you will have full access to address and use any of these channels from your chosen development environment (LabVIEW, CVI, Measurement Studio, etc). You just will not be able to access all of the lines using the Traditional NI-DAQ test panels.
