How Do I Create a Shared Multisim Component Database?Primary Software: Electronics Workbench>>MultisimPrimary Software Version: 9.x Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: Electronics Workbench>>Multicap
Problem: There are several users that use Multisim in our company. Is there a way to create a database where everybody can share components? Solution: There are three levels of database in Multisim. The Master Database contains all of the read-only components that are shipped with Multisim. The User Database is where custom components can be created and stored for personal use. The Corporate Database allows custom components to be created by individual users, and can be accessed by anyone over a network. This is the ideal solution for sharing components between several users. With each Multisim installation a Corporate Database is saved to a specific folder (depending on the Multisim version and operating system). To set up the Corporate Database for your company:
The locations of the Corporate Database file are:
\Program Files\Electronics Workbench\EWB9\database\CPComp_S.prj
\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\National Instruments\Circuit Design Suite\10.1\database\CPCOMP_S.PRJ
\Program Files\National Instruments\Circuit Design Suite\10.0\database\CPComp_S.prj
\ProgramData\National Instruments\Circuit Design Suite\10.1\database\CPComp_S.prj Related Links: KnowledgeBase 4JI4NUUV: User Database Cannot Be Read in Multisim or Ultiboard Attachments:
