What is the Correct Installation Procedure for VI Logger?

Problem: I am trying to install VI Logger with LabVIEW. What is the recommended installation procedure?
Solution: Depending on the version of VI Logger and LabVIEW you have, the following installation procedure is recommended. Also refer to all of the KnowledgeBases linked below for additional help with installation issues.
LabVIEW 8.2
- Install LabVIEW 8.2, which also installs Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) 4.1
- Install VI Logger Version 2.0.1
To order a copy VI Logger Full 2.0.1:

Note: VI Logger Lite is available for download for free from the VI Logger Lite Download page.
LabVIEW 8.0
- Install LabVIEW 8.0, which also installs Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) 4.0
- Install VI Logger Version 2.0.1

- Install VI Logger 1.0.2 upgrade (either from same CD as VI Logger 1.0) or download from:
VI Logger Version 1.0.2 for Windows 2000/95/98/ME/NT/XP
- If Installing NI Switch, refer to the KnowledgeBases linked below
LabVIEW 6.0
- Install LabVIEW 6.0, which installs MAX 2.0
- Upgrade to LabVIEW 6.0.2. Using the LabVIEW 6.0 CD, install LV 6.0.2 upgrade from the CD "\Updater" directory. Or Contact NI
- Install VI Logger Version 1.0
Dependencies for VI Logger:
VI Logger 1.0 only works with LV 6.0.2
VI Logger 1.0.1 upgrade works with LabVIEW 6.1
VI Logger 1.1 is Recommended for LabVIEW 7.0
