Problem: How do I modify my camera file to send out trigger pulses along the control lines on my framegrabber?
Solution: Take the following steps to set up your camera file to output pulses on the Control line of your choice:
- Open the NI Camera File Generator – (If you don’t have it you can download it at ftp://ftp.ni.com/support/imaq/pc/ni-imaq/cfgenerator/ )
- Make sure the Target board is selected as the NI-1422 and select the Pulnix camera file
- Click the Camera Control tab:
- Select Asynchronous mode:
- Select the Pulse Generation tab (This is where you will specify pulse generation settings)
- Delete the old pulse settings
- Select the number of milliseconds or other unit that you want the line to be high, and then select Add Number.
- Click OK to keep the pulse settings you have configured. In this window you will notice that the values are no longer in milliseconds but in camera specific units.
- You can click Edit to open the same window again and see the configuration. Other than that, you’re done. Save the camera file and refresh MAX. You will now output the appropriate pulses to trigger the camera.
