Using HID Compliant Devices with VISA Driver Development Wizard

Hardware: PXI/CompactPCI>>Controllers

Problem:
I'm trying to configure my USB device to be used with VISA, but when I try to plug in the USB device, it always shows up as a HID compliant device automatically.

Solution:
From here, when you detect that your device is an HID Compliant Device. Go to the bottom of the screen where it says "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" and there will be a list of USB Root Hubs. Right click on a USB Root HUB and go to Properties.

Under the Power tab, mark down the description of all the devices. Now go back up in the device manager, and right click on your USB device, and click Uninstall. You can now go through the list of USB Root Hubs, and detect which one has changed, and that is the root hub of your device. From here, you can follow the details of the Developer Zone Tutorial: USB Instrument Control Tutorial, and get your USB device working.
