RMIO and RDIO cables for R Series Intelligent DAQ Hardware: Reconfigurable I/O (RIO)>>R Series
Problem: R Series Intelligent DAQ devices have cable options that include both the SH68-C68-S cables and the SHC68-68-RMIO or SHC68-68-RDIO cables. What are the benefits of using the RMIO and RDIO cables? Solution: SHC68-68-RMIO - This high-performance cable was designed specifically for the RMIO connector on R Series devices. It has individually shielded bundles separating analog and digital signals. Each differential analog input channel is routed on an individually shielded twisted pair of wires. Analog outputs are also individually shielded. Furthermore, each digital signal is twisted with its own wire to digital ground and each twisted pair is individually shielded to minimize crosstalk.
SHC68-68-RDIO - This high-performance cable is similar to the SHC68-68-RMIO cable in that each digital signal is routed on an individually shielded pair of wires, where each signal is twisted with its own wire to digital ground. This is the recommended cable for connecting to the cRIO-9151 R Series Expansion Chassis. SH68-C68-S - This lower-cost cable has basic shielding with 34 twisted pairs of wire, but no special consideration was given to the signal pinout of R Series devices. Related Links: Attachments:
