What Happens to My VLA Seats If I Decide Not to Renew?

Primary Software: Other NI Software>>NI Volume License Manager
Primary Software Version: 1.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
I purchased a Volume License Agreement for a certain number of software seats. With the Volume License Agreement, I use the NI Volume License Manager to manage my licenses. However, the license file that I was given has an expiration date. What happens when this expiration date is reached?

Solution:
When your license file expires, you can renew your Volume License Agreement with NI and get a new license file. If you decide not to renew, you have the option of getting a volume license file that will never expire or breaking out the seats purchased for use with NI VLM to be licensed single seat. This means that you will get a unique serial number for each seat of software. Then simply activate the software using the serial numbers. The software is still yours, however you will not automatically get new versions as you would with a Volume License Agreement.  To renew your Volume License Agreement or instead obtain the aforementioned permanent license file, simply send an e-mail to agreements@ni.com with your request.
