Can I not use the PXI slots of a PXI-SCXI Combo Chassis?Hardware: SCXI
Problem: Is it possible to leave the PXI slots unused in a PXI-SCXI Combo Chassis, and still have functional SCXI slots? Solution: Yes. You can use the any of the current PXI/SCXI Combo Chassis (such as the PXI-1010, PXI-1052 and PXI-1050) as a substitute for an SCXI Chassis. Here are the instructions: 1. Leave the PXI slots unused. 2. Add an SCXI-1349 adaptor 3. Connect the chassis directly to a DAQ card. 4. During detection/installation in MAX, the chassis will need to be configured as an SCXI 1000.
