Problem: I have NI software installed on the Windows Vista operating system. I have a license server which is on another domain. The correct information (server name and port) has been configured through a Volume License Installer or in NI License Manager. However, NI License Manager is extremely slow to respond or appears frozen. What can I do to solve the issue? Solution: This issue is a known bug with the MacroVision FLEXlm software used in our licensing technologies. In order to resolve the issue, you need to add the server's domain to the DNS suffix list under TCP/IP advanced properties.
