Do I Need the Ref5V Pin on SCC-AI Series Modules?Hardware: SCC
Problem: I want to use my own carrier for the SCC-AI series modules. What do I connect to Pin 12 (Ref 5V). Solution: The Ref 5V is a required input to the SCC module for devices like the SCC-SGXX series where they need to have a precise excitation voltage. This line will not require too much power, but is necessary if you want accurate excitation to the SCC-SGXX. If you are using external excitation, then you will not need to worry about the accuracy of Ref 5V. The SCC-AI-XX are analog input modules so they do not require excitation on the Ref 5V.
