Why Does My PXI-6608 Timebase Seem Incorrect? Hardware: Counter/Timers (TIO)>>Devices>>PXI-6608
Problem: For PXI-6608 devices shipped before October 12, 2000, the calibration data was not being written to the right location. At the time of calibration, the frequency of a PXI-6608 that meets specifications is adjusted to within 0.1 Hz of 10 MHz. For devices shipped before October 12, 2000, some units we have examined show a frequency approximately 1.5 Hz (150 parts per billion) away from 10 MHz. Using a high-accuracy counter such as a Rubidium source, you can see that the timebase frequency is not as precise as predicted. Boards shipped after October 12, 2000 are not affected. Solution: If you have one of these affected devices, run the attached executable on the machine with that device installed. This executable only needs to be run once to correct the problem completely. Related Links: Attachments:
