VXIpc-882 Ferrite Installation for USB Devices Note To Users

Hardware: VXI/VME/MXI>>VXI Controllers>>VXIpc-872B

Problem: The attached guide describes how to install a simple, snap-on noise-suppression device, called a ferrite, onto your USB interface cables to attain a desired level of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).

Solution:

Follow the attached PDF: "Ferrite Installation for USB Devices".  Additionally the USB interface cable must be wrapped around the ferrite atleast 3 times to meet the desired level of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).  The images below illustrate how to wrap the cable.
