Which C Series Modules are Supported by NI cDAQ-9172 CompactDAQ, the USB-9161, or the USB-9162?
Many NI C Series I/O modules are supported by multiple National Instruments measurement platforms. Model numbers that are supported by multiple platforms are not only identical, but interchangeable as well. The exact same module can be moved from one system to another with no firmware or driver problems. For example, the NI 9211 thermocouple module can be moved from the (USB-9162) USB sleeve, to the NI Compact DAQ chassis, or to a Compact RIO embedded system.
C Series I/O Module Support for NI CompactDAQ and USB DAQ
Note: All of the modules in this list are supported in both NI Compact DAQ and Compact RIO.

‡ indicates that the module is supported in the WLS-9163 carrier for NI-DAQmx
* indicates that the module is supported in the USB-9162 carrier for NI-DAQmx
+ indicates that the module is supported in the USB-9161 carrier for NI-DAQmx Base
** indicates the maximum hardware switching rate for the module
For example, the acquisition or generation rate of a Static Digital I/O modue is dependent on how often the DAQmx Read or Write.vi is called. In this case, the rate at which the DAQmx Read or Write.vi is called cannot exceed the specified hardware switching rate.
