Setting the PXI-6508 / PCI-6503 Start-Up State Via Jumper W1 Hardware: Legacy DAQ Devices>>Digital I/O>>PC-DIO-24
Problem: I recently purchased a PCI-6503, but the user manual does not have any visual reference to the "pull-down" jumper mentioned in the catalog. Where can I learn more about the jumpers on this card? Solution: The PCI-6503 and the related PXI-6508 each contain a single jumper, W1, by which the start-up state of the card is set. By default, W1 is set to high when shipped, configuring the resistors in a "pull-up" state. If you need to "pull-down" all the lines on the card on startup, simply configure the jumper to the low setting. A visual reference to jumper W1 on the PCI-6503 can be seen in the attached image (below). For additional information about configuring the card, please consult Chapter 3 of the User Manual.
