Can the NI USB CAN Devices Transmit Data Periodically? Hardware: Industrial Communications>>CAN>>USB-8473s
Problem: Can the NI USB 847x series be configured to send repetitive CAN messages using hardware (like the NI PCI-CAN cards) or do the messages have to be sent individually using software? Solution: The USB-CAN hardware does not support CAN Objects, which are required to send data periodically. The NI 847x USB-CAN boards only support the Frame API, but do not support Objects. Transmitting data periodically only works with CAN Objects.
