LabWindows™/CVI™ Evaluation Version Limitations

Issue Details

• I am getting this error when calling a LabWindows/CVI DLL from TestStand;

• I am getting this error when running an executable builded in LabWindows/CVI.

The current program has exceeded the maximum time allowed in this demo version of LabWindows/CVI.

 

Solution

After you activate LabWindows/CVI, you must rebuild any projects you created in evaluation mode. If you do not rebuild a project you created in evaluation mode, the project will have a 10-minute run-time timeout, throwing this error.

Additional Information

The LabWindows/CVI Evaluation Package will have the same functionality as the LabWindows/CVI Full Development System for 7 days after installation. After 7 days, the LabWindows/CVI Evaluation Version will have the following restrictions:
  • 30-day expiration
  • 10-minute run-time timeout*
  • No external compiler support
  • Disabled Build » Distributions feature
  • Disabled Create Object File feature
  • Disabled generation of import libraries from header files
  • No IVI Wizard support (disabled Create IVI Specific Driver and Create IVI Custom Class Driver features)
*Timeout applies to executables and DLLs. For more details, please refer to the Evaluation Guide .

Additionally, the Advanced Analysis functions can be evaluated for the full 30-day period.

Note: Prior to LabWindows/CVI 2009, the LabWindows/CVI Full Version was a separate installer than the LabWindows/CVI Evaluation Version.
