Error -70001 When Trying to Initialize Motion Controller Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-Motion/FlexMotionPrimary Software Version: 6.1.4 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A Hardware: Motion Control>>Controllers
Problem: I have an NI Motion Controller board such as a 733x, 734x, or 735x. When I try to initialize the axes, I receive Error -70001 NIMC_readyToReceiveTimeoutError. What might be causing this and how can I get rid of it? Solution: Chances are that the firmware on the board is corrupted or out of date. In Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) select your motion controller and click over to the firmware tab at the bottom of the page. Right-click on the first firmware option and select "Download All Files" as in the diagram below. This will download the latest version of the firmware to your device and should allow you to now initialize your axes. Related Links: Attachments:
