Error -70001 When Trying to Initialize Motion Controller

Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-Motion/FlexMotion
Primary Software Version: 6.1.4
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A
Hardware: Motion Control>>Controllers

Problem:
When I try to initialize the axes on my NI Motion Controller board, I receive Error -70001 NIMC_readyToReceiveTimeoutError. What might be causing this and how can I fix it?

Solution:
This can mean the firmware on the board is corrupted or out of date. To update or repair the firmware select your motion controller in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) and select the Firmware tab at the bottom of the page. Right-click on the first firmware option and select Download All Files as in the diagram below. This will download the latest version of the firmware to your device and should now allow you to initialize your axes.
