Determining Why a Timed Loop Does Not Execute Primary Software: LabVIEW Development Systems>>Full Development SystemPrimary Software Version: 8.5.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: LabVIEW Development Systems>>Professional Development System
Problem: One of the Timed Loops in my VI does not execute. I have automatic error handling enabled, and LabVIEW does not return an error. Why does the Timed Loop not execute? Solution: A Timed Loop does not execute if it receives an error condition. Also, because Timed Loops do not support automatic error handling, you must wire an indicator to the Error output of a Timed Loop to identify an error. Error –808 is a common error with Timed Loops and occurs when multiple Timed Loops have the same name. To avoid Error –808, assign unique names to Timed Loops.Refer to the Timed Loop Error Codes topic in the LabVIEW Help (linked below) for more information on Timed Loop errors.
