How Do I Reset the IP Address of My PXI-8176 Real-Time Controller? Hardware: PXI/CompactPCI>>Controllers>>PXI-8176 RT
Problem: I would like to set the IP address of my PXI-8176 to 0.0.0.0 so that I can configure its settings in MAX. How can I do this? Solution: Unlike newer controllers, the PXI-8176 does not have any LabVIEW RT dip switches for modifying boot-up settings. To reset the IP address of this controller, you will need to create an IP Reset floppy disk. To do so, open MAX. Select Tools » RT Disk Utilities » Create IP Reset Disk.  Click Yes, and then select the version of the RT operating system on the controller. You can then insert the floppy and start the controller, and the IP will be set to 0.0.0.0 .
