Receiving Runtime Error 217 When Opening DIAdem 9.0

Problem:
When I try and open DIAdem 9.0 it immediately terminates and throws runtime error 217. How do I get DIAdem 9.0 to open?

Solution:
Two possible reasons why this runtime error is occurring are:

• McAfee Antivirus is installed on the machine. The VBScript engine that is installed with DIAdem 9.0 is not able to open due to restraints from McAfee. The solution is to download and install the latest VBScript engine from Microsoft that comes bundled with Microsoft Windows Script.



• A corrupted license file exists on the system. Fix this by reactivating your license files in NI License Manager (Start » Programs » National Instruments » NI License Manager).
