Calibration Executive 2.2.1 File Extractor May Cause New Procedures to Appear in the Calibration Executive Wizard

Primary Software: Calibration Executive
Primary Software Version: 2.2
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem: I installed the Calibration Executive 2.2.1 file extractor and it caused new procedures to appear in the Calibration Executive Wizard. Why did this happen?

Solution: By default, the Calibration Executive 2.2 installer installs all available calibration procedures and applicable dependent components. If you used the default installation, you won't have any issues. On the other hand, the Calibration Executive 2.2 installer provides the option to not install certain procedures to save disk space. However, the Calibration Executive 2.2.1 file extractor will place all of the files on your computer, regardless if you have (or do not have) the procedure originally installed. If you only have certain procedures installed, you may see new procedures available in the Calibration Executive application the next time that you run it, but the dependent components may not be installed.

You have two options to address this issue:
  1. Manually remove the updates. Use Windows Explorer to delete the extra procedure files from your Calibration Executive\procedures\ folder.

  2. Use the Calibration Executive 2.2 installer to install the extra procedures and their dependent components.
