Problem: Why does my [c]FP-PWM-520 generate a frequency that is one-third of the expected value? Solution: National Instruments discovered an issue with FieldPoint and Compact FieldPoint [c]FP-PWM-520 modules purchased between August 2005 and July 2007 that may cause the modules to generate a frequency that is one-third of the expected value. The affected modules are all revision C. The revision is identified by the letter in the part number. For example, a revision C cFP-PWM-520 module has part number 185715C-02. If you want to check if your [c]FP-PWM-520 is affected, do the following:
You do not need to verify the error before returning your modules to National Instruments.
