Deploying Network Shared Variables on a LabVIEW Real-Time System from a Host Running LabVIEW Run-Time Primary Software: LabVIEW Run-Time EnginePrimary Software Version: 8.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I would like to be able to deploy network shared variables on a LabVIEW Real-Time system from my Windows host machine which only has LabVIEW Run-Time on it. Is this possible? Solution: A utility has been created that allows you to deploy network shared variables from a host with only LabVIEW Run-Time installed. This utility does not support network published shared variables with "Binding" enabled. To deploy a network published shared variable with "Binding" enabled, you must use the Project Explorer in the LabVIEW Development environment. Note: Single process shared variables do not use the Network Variable Engine and thus do not need to be deployed.
