Now that I have installed the NI-Vision tools, I have noticed that a large majority of the Image Processing and Machine Vision VIs in the palette are followed by a numeric (for example: IMAQ Match Pattern 3 VI). If I want to stay compatible and troubleshoot my older programs, where can I find the previous VIs?

The previous Image Processing and Machine Vision VIs can be found in the same library as the current ones. Just go to your Program Files and under National Instruments, look in the <LabVIEW>/vi.lib/vision directory.

This directory contains all of the NI-Vision libraries. To locate your desired VI, simply open up the .llb library corresponding to the particular VI's function.

For example: If you are attempting to locate the previous IMAQ Match Pattern VIs, then you would open up the Pattern Matching.llb library.
