Slow Performance During Development Time After Having TestStand Installed for Some TimePrimary Software: TestStandPrimary Software Version: 2.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I have noticed that after some time of having TestStand installed, the Sequence Editor becomes extremely slow. For example, it takes a long time to switch from one active window to another or to bring up the "Specify Module" window. Solution: After you have been using TestStand for a while, chances are that you have added new search directories into the list of directories that TestStand searched through for files. If these directories near the top of the list are large, TestStand will seem to slow down since it is running through all these directories. Changing the search options to only search through these larger directories if necessary and moving them down within the list will increase the performance of TestStand.
