Problem: I use a disconnected license created from the NI Volume License Manager for my National Instruments software. However, when I launch my application software, it takes a long time for it to open. Can this speed be improved? Solution: If your client computer is still configured to look for the network license in addition to looking for the disconnected license, it can take a long time for the server connection to timeout before using your disconnected license. To improve the performance, change the settings to look at the disconnected license only. To do this, open the NI License Manager (Start»Programs»National Instruments»NI License Manager. Then go to Options»Preferences and uncheck the option for Use Network License Servers. Related Links: Attachments:
