Guidelines On How To Upgrade From The IVI Engine (Non-Compliance) Package To IVI Compliance Package 2.0 Primary Software: Instrument Drivers/IVI>>IVI Engine PackagePrimary Software Version: 1.83 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I have previously installed the IVI Engine (Non-Compliance) Package (from either DriverCD, Modular Instruments' installers, or web) because my system did not meet the minimum system requirements of Internet Explorer 4.0.1. This alternate package does not include IVI Shared Components, configuration functionality, or class driver support. Now that my system meet the minimum requirements (IE4.0.1 or later), I would like to upgrade to IVI Compliance Package 2.0. Solution: National Instruments strongly recommends that you install IVI Compliance Package (ICP) 2.0 using the default IVI Standard Root directory specified in the ICP installer. The IVI Foundation defined the default installation directory, called the IVI Standard Root Directory. This is the directory to which IVI drivers and other IVI components install: <ProgramFilesDir>\IVI.If you would still like to install to a directory other than the default directory, you must uninstall and then reinstall all drivers you have installed after installing IVI Engine (Non-Compliance) Package. Otherwise you will end up having two IVI directories and depending on how you are linking to the driver, the driver files might not be found by application projects. You can download the current version of the IVI Compliance Package from the link below. Related Links: Drivers and Updates: IVI Instrument Drivers Attachments:
