Unusual Counter Behavior with NI USB-DAQPad-6015/16

Hardware: Multifunction DAQ (MIO)>>Basic>>DAQPad-6015 for USB, Multifunction DAQ (MIO)>>Basic>>DAQPad-6016 for USB w/Screw Term

Problem: I have an application that performs buffered counter operations on both counter0 and counter1 of my NI USB-DAQPad-6015/16 device. The readings I get from counter1 are incorrect. If I connect the same signal to both counters and run a buffered edge count example, counter1 returns the same value twice. These duplicate counts make it look like counter1 is counting slower than counter0. What is the problem?

Solution: This known issue on these devices affects counter1 when doing buffered counter measurements on both counters simultaneously. If you run buffered measurements on both counters, counter1 returns duplicate counts. If you do not use counter0 or if counter0 performs a software-timed measurement, counter1 functions properly. A workaround that involves editing .ini files exists. Contact National Instruments support for help with this workaround.
