Installing IVI Support for Real-Time Targets

Primary Software: LabVIEW Modules>>Real-Time Module

Secondary Software: Instrument Drivers/IVI>>IVI Class Driver

Problem:
I have written third-party drivers to be used for my Real-Time (RT) target, but I cannot install the IVI Compliance Package under Add/Remove Software in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX).  How do I install IVI support for my target?

Solution:
Installing any Modular Instruments driver for your RT target will install the IVI Compliance Package.  A listing of supported drivers can be found here:  Drivers and Updates:  Modular Instruments.  Refer to KnowledgeBase 2HEEPEZ8:  Installing Software on Real-Time (RT) Series PXI Hardware for installing the driver to your RT target.
