"Error Updating Driver" Message When Switching Between IMAQdx and IMAQ for 1394 Driver Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-IMAQdxPrimary Software Version: 3.5 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I have a 1394 Firewire camera that is detected in MAX. When I right click the camera to associate the camera with a driver different from its current driver, I get an error message stating "Error Updating Driver". Why does this happen? Solution: This error will occur when you attempt to swap drivers on a Windows account that does not have administrator access. This process attempts to change driver files associated with the camera, which is generally not allowed when the user does not have administrative rights. You must either log into an account that has administrative access, or give administrative access to the current account to perform this action. Related Links: Attachments:
