DataSocket Server Crashes During Launch

Problem: The DataSocket Server crashes during launch. What might be wrong?

Solution: The DataSocket Server uses the TCP/IP protocol. If you do not have the TCP/IP protocol installed on your system, then this may be causing the DataSocket Server to crash. Go to Start » Settings » Control Panel » Network and install the TCP/IP protocol. You will need to:
  1. Click the Add button, and select "Protocol" from the list of Network Components.

  2. Click the Add button and select "Microsoft" from the list of Manufacturers and "TCP/IP Protocol" from the list of Network Protocols.

  3. Click the OK button. You will probably have to restart your computer after adding this protocol (this will depend on your operating system).
