Error -713 When Writing to TEDS EEPROM

Primary Software: LabVIEW Development Systems>>Base Package
Primary Software Version: 6.1
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A
Hardware: SCXI>>Terminal Blocks>>SCXI-1314T

Problem:
I am trying to write to the EEPROM of a TEDS sensor connected to a 1314T terminal block on a SCXI-1520 in an SCXI chassis, using an example that I downloaded from the web. I keep getting Error -713 "No EEPROM is detected." After drilling down into the lower levels of the application I find that the error originates as Error -10031 "The specified SCXI chassis does not correspond to a configured SCXI chassis."

Solution:
This error typically occurs when:
  1. The SCXI chassis has not been configured for Traditional DAQ. Even though TEDS sensors are often read with DAQmx, many existing examples use Traditional DAQ. Make sure that if you are using Traditional DAQ to access the TEDS data that the hardware is configured for Traditional DAQ
  2. The TEDS sensor is being addressed with any of the following: the wrong chassis ID, wrong module slot number, or the wrong TEDS channel. Make sure that the values that you enter for these parameters correspond to those shown in Measurement & Automation (MAX).
