NI-HSDIO with DAQmx 7.5 Running in RT May Return Error Messages that Report "No Error Occurred" Hardware: Digital I/O (DIO)>>High-Speed>>PXI-6542, Digital I/O (DIO)>>High-Speed>>PXI-6551, Digital I/O (DIO)>>High-Speed>>PXI-6552, Digital I/O (DIO)>>High-Speed>>PXI-6561, Digital I/O (DIO)>>High-Speed>>PXI-6562, Digital I/O (DIO)>>High-Speed>>PCI-6541, Digital I/O (DIO)>>High-Speed>>PCI-6542, Digital I/O (DIO)>>High-Speed>>PCI-6551, Digital I/O (DIO)>>High-Speed>>PCI-6552, Digital I/O (DIO)>>High-Speed>>PCI-6561, Digital I/O (DIO)>>High-Speed>>PCI-6562, Digital I/O (DIO)>>High-Speed>>PXI-6541
Problem: When I run my NI-HSDIO program on a LabVIEW Real-Time target with NI-DAQmx version 7.5, I get errors whose error messages tell me that no error occurred. Solution: Some of the error messages are not being reported correctly by an underlying component of the NI-HSDIO driver. To correct the problem, find the file named nidaqmx.err on your Real-Time target machine. This file should be located in the ni-rt/system/errors/english folder. Rename the existing file to nidaqmx.err.old (or something similar), then copy the attached file into that folder. The error messages should now be correct. Other drivers that rely on NI-DAQmx (such as NI-SCOPE and NI-FGEN) may experience the same behavior when NI-DAQmx 7.5 is installed. If you see this behavior, follow the steps above to correct the error messages. Related Links: Attachments:
