Bench Top Instruments No Longer Appear in Example Finder

Problem: I remember working with bench top instrument examples in LabVIEW, however after upgrading my software I am unable to find them? Where can I locate the following bench top instrument examples:
- 1 Channel Simple Scope
- 2 Channel Oscilloscope
- Function Generator
- Simple Digital Multimeter
- Arbitrary Waveform Generator
- Spectrum Analyzer
Solution: The benchtop instrument examples are a set of instruments that are included with Traditional NI-DAQ. With NI-DAQ 7.4.2 and later, the DAQ examples are indexed differently. You can now access the benchtop instruments in either of the following methods:
- Open the bench top instrument as a stand-alone VI
- Open Example Finder
- Select Directory Structure
- Browse to daq»solution»benchtop.llb
- Select your desired bench top instrument
- Include the bench top instrument within another VI
- Open LabVIEW
- Create a new VI
- Right-click the block diagram and click on Select a VI...
- Browse to
C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW [version]\examples\daq\solution\benchtop.llb
- Select your desired bench top instrument
- Click Ok
You are given the option to install examples during the installation for Traditional NI-DAQ. If you cannot locate the examples with one of the above methods, you may need to modify the install to include examples. You can also download the bench top examples using the benchtop library linked below.
