Can I Do Continuous Double Buffered Digital Input Or Output With My PCI-6503 Board ( 8255 Chip ) ?

Hardware: Legacy DAQ Devices>>Digital I/O>>PC-DIO-24

Problem: I want to make continuous or double buffered digital input or output with my PCI-6503 board, is this possible ?

Solution: No. The PCI-650x family does NOT have the FIFO buffer on the board necessary for continuous (double) buffered inputs or outputs such as reading digital patterns.

If you would like to do continuous or double buffered digital input or output, then you will have to use the PCI-653x family, which does have the necessary FIFO buffer.
