Files on the FP-20xx Have a "Modified Date" of January 01, 2098, 12:00 AM Primary Software: Driver Software>>FieldPoint ExplorerPrimary Software Version: 3.0.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: Utility Software>>Measurement & Automation Explorer
Problem: The modified time and date of any file on a FP-20xx is always: January 01, 2098, 12:00 AM. Why does this happen? Is there a way to get the correct time? Solution: This default time occurs on any FP-20xx's when 1) no time synchronization has been configured and 2) no battery backup for the clock is present. To show the correct time on an FP-20xx, synchronize the time to a computer running the logos time service. To do this, follow these steps: 1) Open Fieldpoint Explorer 2) Expand out all the communication resources 3) Right click on your "comm resource" (example: FP Res) 4) Select "Edit this Comm Resource" 5) In the Comm Resource configuration window, click the "Browse" button 6) In the Remote System Explorer, Configure Device... » Servers. Newer revisions of the FP-2000 also have a battery backup and will maintain the system time (even through power cycles). See Chapter 3 of the FP-2000/2010 User Manual for more information on configuring the time synchronization.
