Installing NI Device Drivers Released Prior to August 2008 with LabVIEW SignalExpress 3.0 Primary Software: LabVIEW Signal Express>>Development SystemPrimary Software Version: 3.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I installed NI device drivers (or NI Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite 6.0 or earlier) after installing LabVIEW SignalExpress 3.0, and now LabVIEW code generation and the LabVIEW SignalExpress Express VIs do not work correctly. Solution: LabVIEW code generation from LabVIEW SignalExpress and the LabVIEW SignalExpress Express VIs work correctly when you install LabVIEW SignalExpress 3.0 and the device drivers included on the August 2008 Driver DVD. However, if you later install older versions of NI device drivers, such as the NI-DAQ 8.71 or 8.72 drivers, or if you install NI Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite 6.0 or earlier, LabVIEW code generation and the LabVIEW SignalExpress Express VIs do not work correctly. For example, if you generate code for LabVIEW 8.2 or later, you might be prompted to save corrupt subVIs. If you attempt to use the LabVIEW SignalExpress Express VIs, the VIs might return incorrect values. If you purchase NI hardware that includes an older device driver, you can install the driver, but you must deselect LabVIEW SignalExpress on the Features page of the installer. If you do install LabVIEW SignalExpress from an older NI device driver, complete the following steps to repair code generation and the LabVIEW SignalExpress Express VIs.
