-1074126845 Error Generated by IviDMM Fetch Multi Point VI

Primary Software: LabVIEW Development Systems>>Professional Development System
Primary Software Version: 8.2
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: Driver Software>>NI-DMM
Hardware: Modular Instruments>>Digital Multimeters (DMM)>>PXI-4070

Problem:
I've got a PXI system and I need to synchronize my NI PXI DMM device with my NI PXI DAQ device in LabVIEW. I'm triggering the DMM with the DAQ analog input sample clock in order to take synchronized measurements. When I launch my application I receive Error -1074126845 Error Generated by IviDMM Fetch Multi Point VI. How can I solve this issue?

Solution:
The reason the DMM fetch is causing this error is because it is missing some of the triggers that are being sent from the DAQ analog input sample clock. The analog input sample clock is pulse based, and it is likely that the DMM may be missing triggers due to the shape of the trigger signal.

It is possible to change the output behavior of the DAQ sample clock from pulse based to level based. This setting is the sample clock output behaviour on the DAQmx Signal Node property node.

The following images show how to find the Export Signal property node that shell be wired into DAQ thread before the task is started.

Here attached you can find a simple VI that performs a DMM acquisition synchronized on the analog input sample clock of a DAQ board acquisition.
