Why Do I Get an EDVR Error (0xe10004e) in IBIC When Using the GPIB-ENET?

Hardware: GPIB>>External Controllers/Convertors>>GPIB-ENET

Problem: Why do I get an EDVR error (0xe10004e) in the Interactive Control (IBIC) when using the GPIB-ENET with version 1.2 of NI-488.2M Software for Windows 95? The same box works fine with version 1.1 of the driver.

Solution: If you have firmware revision A.4, you need to update to firmware revision A.5 for your GPIB-ENET to work with version 1.2 of NI-488.2M Software for Windows 95.

Version 1.2 of NI-488.2M Software for Windows 95 installs EnetA5.bin in the \GPIB95 directory. Refer to the Getting Started with Your GPIB-ENET and the NI-488.2 Software for Windows 98/95 manual, linked below, for instructions on updating the firmware by using this file.

Note: The EnetA5.bin file is located in NI-488.2\GPIB-ENET for versions 1.5 and higher of the driver.
