Why is My Ethernet GE 9030 PLC Not Working Correctly?

Primary Software: Lookout
Primary Software Version: 6.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software:

Problem: I am using the GE 9030 driver in Lookout (or Lookout Protocol Drivers). However, I am having some or all of the problems listed below.
1.) Unable to write to certain registers
2.) Can read the registers, but cannot write to the registers
3.) When I write to one register, a different register is updated
4.) Unable to communicate with the PLC

Solution: These problems generally occur when the PLC is using a communication protocol not supported by our drivers.

When the GE driver for the Lookout Protocol Drivers (LPD) and Lookout was released, the 9030 PLCs used the CCM Ethernet communication method. However, the newer 9030 PLCs released by GE do not support CCM and use a different protocol. At this time, our driver only supports the CCM protocol. Please check with GE to make sure that your PLC uses CCM. If it does not, you will need to purchase an OPC Server that supports the new ethernet communication protocol.
