Problem: My network-published shared variables are nested under Dependencies in the Project Explorer with a question mark beside each variable's name. I can use the network-published shared variables to communicate between my host and my target, so what is going wrong? Solution: Nothing is going wrong. Your network-published shared variables will appear under My Computer»Dependencies when you open a VI nested under My Computer that statically calls network-published shared variables that reside in a library hosted on your RT Target. For example, if you double-click on the RT Network Communication - Host.vi in the RT Network Communication.lvproj shipping example, you will see the following:
