Problem: I have a real-time target which is connected to a monitor and when I turn it on, the only thing that appears on the screen is PC:):). Why is my target not booting correctly? Solution: The PC:):) output means that your target is trying to boot into Windows, but Windows is not present on the hard drive. There are two basic options for correcting this issue, which include changing the dip switch configuration or modifying the BIOS settings, both of which are outlined in Knowledge Base 3V0AIJOY: Switch Between Booting LabVIEW RT or Windows on PXI If you intend to have a dual-boot controller, please check the Related Links section below for additional information on configuring a controller that runs both the real-time operating system (RTOS) and Windows.
