Temporary License Error When Configuring Hardware in MAXPrimary Software: Utility Software>>Measurement & Automation ExplorerPrimary Software Version: 3.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I am using Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) to configure my data acquisition hardware, and MAX is working correctly. However, sometimes a dialog box alerts me that a temporary license was granted because the hardware has been modified. If I use the NI License Manager to check my license status, everything seems to be working correctly. Can I prevent this dialog box from appearing? Solution: This dialog box appears because a temporary license file has been granted to allow you to use DAQ Assistant and the temporary license is taking precedence over the license that is permanent. DAQ Assistant is used to help configure your DAQ devices with MAX and other National Instruments software products. To prevent this dialog box from appearing, you can remove the temporary license so that the permanent license can be found. To do this, go to <National Instruments>\Shared\License Manager\Licenses. Delete all the license files with TmpEthernet in the name. Do not delete any other license files. Related Links: Attachments:
