LabVIEW 4.0 Test Executive Run-Time can't find typedef TYPEDEF-Error.ctl when launching.Primary Software: LabVIEW Toolkits>>Test ExecutivePrimary Software Version: 4.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: The LabVIEW 4.0 Test Executive Run-Time can't find typedef TYPEDEF-Error.ctl when launching. It will provide the user with a dialog box which allows them to go and find the typedef. Solution: Copy the VI library controls.llb (should be found in the LabVIEW USER.LIB directory where the TE development system is installed) to the directory where the TE run-time executable resides. Start the TE run-time. When it asks you to find TYPEDEF - Error.ctl, browse to it in controls.llb. Log in as "developer" and quit the TE. Log in: developer and password: developer (in lower case letters) After quitting, you will get the menu bar for the executable. Under Edit -> Preferences..., Path.. modify the VI Search Path to include controls.llb. Hit Browse... and get the following path: C:\LABVIEW|LVEXEC4 choosing: Select Curr Dir and back in the preferences window hit Replace. This edit will cause a modification to the lvtert40.ini file, instructing the executable to look in controls.llb to find the missing controls. You can also edit the .ini file by hand if you know the correct format. Related Links: Attachments:
