Why Can’t I Add My C-Series Module Under My cRIO Chassis?

Hardware: PXI/CompactPCI>>Controllers

Problem:
I am trying to add my C-Series Module to my cRIO in the LabVIEW Project. However, while I can see many C-Series Modules I can’t see mine.

Solution:
While all C-Series Modules can be used with cRIO not all modules can be added to the chassis in the project. Modules under the chassis utilize the Scan Mode. Not all modules can be programmed using the Scan Mode and thus, do not show up as an option to be added under the chassis. Such modules must be added to an FPGA target and require the FPGA Module in addition to LabVIEW and the Real-Time Module. If you have the FPGA Module installed you can add an FPGA target by right-clicking on the Chassis in the Project Explorer and selecting New»FPGA Target.  For more information about which C-Series Modules can use Scan Mode, refer to the Developer Zone Tutorial: C Series Modules Supported by CompactRIO Scan Mode.
