Generating LabVIEW Code from Sound and Vibration Assistant Reports Missing Sound and Vibration VIs Primary Software: LabVIEW Toolkits>>Sound and Vibration ToolsetPrimary Software Version: 5.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: When I am generating LabVIEW code from Sound and Vibration Assistant through Tools » Generate Code » LabVIEW Diagram, an error message reports that the Sound and Vibration VIs are missing. Sound and Vibration Assistant generates code, by default, in the last version of LabVIEW that was launched. This can cause a problem if the Sound and Vibration Toolkit / Measurement Suite VIs are not installed to the last launched version of LabVIEW. Solution: There are a couple situations where this will happen: 1. The Sound and Vibration Toolkit / Measurement Suite was installed before LabVIEW was installed. You can go to Control Panel » Add / Remove Programs » National Instruments Software » Sound and Vibration Toolkit / Measurement Suite and modify the installation. Once you do that, the Sound and Vibration VIs will be installed to the version of LabVIEW you selected. 2. Multiple versions of LabVIEW installed to one machine and the last launched version of LabVIEW does not have Sound and Vibration VIs. Sound and Vibration Toolkit / Measurement Suite can only be installed to one version of LabVIEW. To check what version of LabVIEW the Sound and Vibration VIs are installed you can go to the Measurement and Automation Explorer. In the Software section a Sound and Vibration entry will be listed under the LabVIEW version that contains the VIs. To generate code to the version of LabVIEW that the Sound and Vibration VIs are installed to:
