Problem: My preferred programming language is a .NET language such as C# or Visual Basic. Is there a way for me to program a National Instruments Real-Time target, such as the Compact Vision System, using my preferred programming language? Solution: Unfortunately, the answer is no. National Instruments' Real-Time targets, such as the Compact Vision System, run Real-Time operating systems that do not support the .NET Framework. You can program these targets using LabVIEW or possibly LabWindows/CVI. Refer to the LabWindows/CVI Real-Time Module Frequently Asked Questions KnowledgeBase for more information on which real-time targets are supported by the LabWindows/CVI Real-Time Module.
