Transitioning Applications from NI 5431 to NI 5421

Problem:
How do I transition my application from a NI 5431 to a NI 5421?

Solution:
The following two documents show a comparison of the features and functions between the NI 5431 and the NI 5421. These documents will help to clarify the changes that will need to be made in the migration from the 5431 to the 5421.

For a comparison of the physical features between the NI 5431 and NI 5421 see the attached Features Supported by 5431 and 5421.doc.

For a comparison of the niFGEN functions between the NI 5431 and the NI5421 see the attached NIFGEN Functions Supported by 5431 and 5421.doc.

Note: For video generation applications, users should consider the Analog VideoMASTER Generator solution from National Instruments. In addition to the NI 5421 hardware and their video-specific software, NI VideoMASTER offers device-specific software flatness correction for optimal video generation performance.
